The Paddy Buchanan Band are a five-piece ensemble from Aberdeen, Scotland who specialise in the reworking of traditional folk songs. Primarily ballads from the North-East of Scotland – Paddy is an accomplished Bothy Ballad singer winning the Champion of Champions competition in Elgin 2024.
These songs are musical tales of love, loss, triumph and tragedy – many of them stories which have been passed down over hundreds of years. Expect vocal harmonies, up-beat tribal grooves along with intricate melodies woven with Accordion and Mandolin.
