Bob Sharp and Colin Campbell will be dipping into their individual pocketful of songs at the monthly Salmon Bothy folk club.
Glasgow born Bob has been involved in the folk scene for many many years starting way back in the folk revival of the 1960’s at the Glasgow Folk Centre to the present day. He has travelled along the way with his bands Steamfolk and the Makarakit ceilidh band and now enjoys mainly solo performances at folk clubs, sessions and festivals around the North East. His pocketful of songs has taken him over the years through Europe, The Middle East, Western Australia and now Portsoy
Colin is a singer songwriter and fiddle player based in Moray. His songs and tunes reflect his upbringing in rural Scotland, and much of his music is steeped in local culture. He is also the founding member of the Moray Suite art project which mixes music, video and performance celebrating all things Morayshire. His solo set comprises songs and stories from his life and includes excerpts from the Moray Suite and fiddle tunes in the North East style. Colin is a long-time friend and collaborator with Bob Sharp.
