Final places available for our Singer Songwriting Weekend, to be led by award winning performer, Findlay Napier, on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th April 2026.

Findlay recently won the Composer of the Year award at the 2025 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards, and we are delighted he will be joining us in Portsoy.

Proposed schedule so far…

Friday 3rd – Meet at the Station Hotel in the evening. Get to know each other. Decide on collaborations or work individually.

Saturday 4th – Morning / afternoon, song writing sessions.

Soup and sandwiches will be provided at lunchtime.

Saturday 4th evening – Findlay will perform his show at the Salmon Bothy.

Tickets £15. Free to those who are taking part in the weekend event.

Sunday 5th – Refine songs, add instrumentation and rehearse. Possibly with some guest musicians to give a fuller sound, if needed. Soup & sandwiches provided at lunchtime.

Sunday PM – Record songs with Graham at the Salmon Bothy. 

Each participant will get 5 copies of the CD.

To be held at the Salmon Bothy and Station Hotel Portsoy.

All times will be notified when confirmed.

Cost – £100 per person for weekend. £25 deposit to be paid upon booking.
