Musical Duo To Showcase Traditional Scots Songs
Traditional music enthusiasts are ready to welcome an esteemed musical duo to Portsoy.
Dougie Mackenzie and Brian Miller, renowned traditional Scots musicians will be performing at a concert hosted by Portsoy’s Folk At The Salmon Bothy.
Winner of many traditional singing competitions and nominated as ‘Scots Singer of the Year’ in the 2019 MG Alba Trad Awards, Dougie Mackenzie has a love for performing a range of Scottish traditional songs and ballads.
Doors open from 7.30pm.
Tickets booked in advance cost £10, tickets available on the door £12.
Dougie will be joined by Brian Miller, one of Scotland’s most esteemed singers and guitarists, who has performed in many bands including The Laggan, Swan Arcade, The Occasionals and The Great Fife Roadshow.

The concert takes place on Saturday 23 April at the Salmon Bothy in Portsoy, with doors
open from 7.30pm. Tickets booked in advance cost £10, tickets available on the door £12.
Folk At The Salmon Bothy have also embraced a welcome return of regular Open Mic nights
at the Salmon Bothy in Portsoy. The next event takes place on Friday 20 May 2022 from
7.30pm, and on the third Friday of every month thereafter.
