Coming Up at Folk at the Salmon Bothy

We have some fantastic acts and performers coming to entertain us at Folk at the Salmon Bothy over the next few months. Our club meets on the 3rd Friday of each month and we regularly host visiting artists at our club nights while also leaving time for floor spots local performers on the night. Club nights are held upstairs in the Salmon Bothy, Portsoy. Doors open 7pm for 7.30pm start. £5 entry (There is a lift for accessible access)

  • Friday 17th October – The Sir-Reel Clarks. Plus floor spots.
  • Friday 21st November – Alan Reid, Battlefield Band founder member
  • Saturday 29th November – St Andrew’s Night Ceilidh with the Kenny McKenzie All Star Ceilidh Band.
    Singing, dancing and stovies. Portsoy Bowling Club, 7.30pm for 8pm
  • Friday 19th December – Christmas Party Night with Aberdeen Music School performers
  • Thursday 1st January – New Year Singaround. Portsoy Bowling Club from 7pm.
  • Friday 16th January – Informal Songs & Tunes Around The Table
  • Friday 20th February – Open Mic Night
  • Saturday 22nd February – Bothy Ballads & Burns, in partnership with Portsoy 75 Club.

  • Friday 20th March – The Quiggs
  • Friday 17th April – Steve Turner
  • TBC, March/April 2026 – Findlay Napier facilitating a weekend of song. Cost will be approx £100, which includes a ticket to his concert on Saturday evening. Places very limited, please contact Bob to express interest.
  • 5, 6 & 7 June 2026 – 16th Haal
    Acts already confirmed from Scotland, England, Ireland & Australia. Full programme to be announced late 2025
