THE CHAPLINS ARE AN AWARD-WINNING AMERICANA BAND BASED IN GLASGOW. THEY ARE CURRENTLY TOURING THEIR DEBUT ALBUM, THE CIRCUS, WHICH CLIMBED INTO THE TOP 10 IN THE iTUNES COUNTRY CHART.

JILL (SINGER/SONGWRITER) AND LISA (DRUMMER) FORMED THE CHAPLINS AS A FRESH NEW PROJECT AFTER TOURING AMERICA TOGETHER IN 2012. INSPIRED BY THEIR JOURNEY FROM NEW YORK TO NEW ORLEANS, THESE TWO ESTABLISHED MUSICIANS EMBARKED UPON THEIR NEW CHAPTER, ENROLLING JOHNNY (KEYS) AS THE THIRD CORE MEMBER OF THE BAND. SHORTLY AFTER FORMING, THE CHAPLINS QUICKLY WON THE HEARTS OF MANY THOUSANDS WHILST SHOWCASING THEIR DEBUT EP ‘INTRODUCING THE CHAPLINS’ SUPPORTING RUNRIG ON THEIR 2012 EUROPEAN TOUR.

RECENTLY THEIR MUSIC HAS CAUGHT THE ATTENTION OF BOTH BBC RADIO AND TELEVISION WITH THE BAND MAKING THEIR NATIONAL TV DEBUT AND GAINING RADIO AIRPLAY THROUGHOUT THE UK AND US.

Saturday 1st November 2104 – we are holding a Fundraiser for The 6th HAAL Festival (29th – 31st May 2015), the event will take place in The Town Hall Portsoy.

1430  – 1530 an audience with ARCHIE FISHER – Tom Spiers will be asking Archie about his life in music/ travels/ over 20 years on BBC Scotland’s Travelling Folk. £3.00.

1600 – 1730ish – Singaround  – in Lesser Hall, which will house a bar run by Portsoy’s 75Club.  Free with evening ticket.

2000   – ARCHIE FISHER in Concert in Portsoy Town Hall.
